Honda Civic metallic light blue

Here is an intermediate detail of a light blue Honda Civic. The car was dropped off at 7.30am and it was raining, I waited for the wheels to cool off while I prepared my stuff.

The wash process began by cleaning the wheels, wheel wells and tires. Meguiar’s Super Degreaser(4:1) was used one the rims and tires, Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner(4:1) for the wheel wells.

A pre-wash soak using Meguiar’s Hyper Wash is then followed by a high pressure rinse to remove any loose contaminants. This was followed by a two-bucket wash using the same shampoo.



Osren Tar Remover was sprayed on the lower half of the car and was left for a few minutes before being wiped off.



Perma Glass No.2 Clay was used using diluted Meguiar’s Shampoo Plus as clay lubricant.





The car is re-washed and dried.

Menzerna 106FF with Meguiar’s W-9006 finishing pad via RB @ 600-900-600rpms was the polish/pad combo used.

After the polishing step, the owner’s own last step product was used.



Applied using the ROB and a W-9006 finishing pad as well.

While waiting for the wax to dry, exterior plastic and vinyl are dressed with Meguiar’s #40 Vinyl & Rubber cleaner/conditioner.



The already clean engine was wiped down with a damp cloth and reachable plastics, rubber and vinyl was dressed.



Meguiar’s NXT All Metal Polysh was used on the exhaust tips.



Then the plastics in the wheel wells as well as the tires were dressed with Meguiar’s All Season Dressing and rims sealed with Meguiar’s #21 Synthetic Sealant.



The interior was already fairly clean, so no pictures of it. It was vacuumed, vinyls and plastics wiped down with Meguiar’s Quik Interior Detailer, pedals cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, glass cleaned with Detailer line Glass Cleaner Concentrate, door jambs wiped down and sealed with M21.

PlastX applied to the headlamps.

The SmartWax is then buffed off and below are the results. Apologies as it was still raining that time so only indoor pictures.
